Man Cures Himself of HIV?

Doctors baffled as HIV man ‘cures’ himself
Sophie Kirkham

A MAN who tested positive for HIV, the virus that causes AIDS, has subsequently shown up negative for the disease in a case that has mystified doctors.

It was claimed last night that Andrew Stimpson, 25, may have shaken off the virus with his own immune system after contracting HIV in 2002.

If proved, the NHS has said the case would be “medically remarkable”.

I've read reports that suggest diet plays a major factor in the body's ability to fight off disease, including viruses. How true this is, is anyones guess, but I think its safe to say even the experts are baffled from time to time, unable to explain why the body has done something they did not think it could.

Look at it this way. There is a cure for Leprosy now. After thousands of years, it took what, less than 100 years once medical knowledge reached the point at which the disease could be understood and a cure found?
I think there's a cure for AIDS out there just waiting to be found.

I can't say I understand your situation, so I won't offer you a hollow "I feel your pain" sentiment. I do, however, hope the best for you. It's okay to be cynical, just don't let it dominate you-- that's one hell of a pill to swallow day in and day out, and I imagine you've got enough of those to take already.

Stay healthy, and may God richly bless you. And that is not a hollow sentiment.
