Mention of "Jesus" in Prayer Illegal in Illinois House
U.S. District Court Judge David Hamilton had declared all prayer that makes mention of Jesus Christ in the Illinois House of Representatives illegal. Freedom of Speech is cast down, Freedom of Religion? Nullified.
I know many of you out there don't particularly care, but you should. If a Judge can strip members of a legislative body of their free speech and freedom of religion rights, as expressed in our Founding Document [Article I], what's next? Perhaps something you cherish next time?
With the annual assault on Christmas in this country now in high gear, how long before Christianity is Illegal in all segments of American society? What happens to America when being a Christian is a crime punishable by fines, imprisonment, or even torture and death? Is that laughable to you?

For others:
Often in public settings when more than one faith group is present, it is customary to use the ecumenical approach in religious matters.
ecumenical:
---the reunion, for the purposes of working together in harmony, of the various divided and separated church groups within Christianity.
---the promotion of unity, co-operation, or improved understanding between distinct religious groups or denominations within the same religion more or less broadly defined.
---Concerned with establishing or promoting unity among churches or religions.
Luke 10:25-37
