Lefties Everywhere Soon Will Be Salivating....

The Brad Blog has an interesting piece, touted as Gospel, by none other than Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Get this-- George Bush, not only did he steal the 2000 election, but now Mr. Kennedy has convincing proof-- to Kennedy, and conspiracy theorists everywhere --that Bush stole 2004 election as well...

"A damning and detailed feature article, written by Robert F. Kennedy Jr., for Rolling Stone and documenting evidence of the theft of the 2004 Presidential Election is set to hit newsstand this Friday...

"The article -- headlined on the cover as "Did Bush Steal the 2004 Election?: How 350,000 Votes Disappeared in Ohio" -- has been several months in development and will contend that a concerted effort was undertaken by high-level Republican officials to steal the Election in Ohio -- and thus the country -- in 2004!"

Also, it would seem that "evidence shows Ohio Sec. of State J. Kenneth Blackwell was "certainly in on" the scheme" as well. How convenient, a Black Republican doing very well against his "White," more preferrable-to-Democrats, opponent. Move along folks, no hidden agenda here!

I refuse to prejudge Mr. Kennedy solely on his familial ties, or the fact that he's environmentally... funny, or the fact that Mr. Kennedy has his own "weekend show on Air America Radio." No, instead I think I'll wait to read the article itself in the new issue of Rolling Stone... Liberal Media. But I think the second comment to this post puts the whole Kennedy story into perspective.

"Glad one of the Kennedy's is showcasing this story-pointing to 'elephant in the room'...right on time for the '06 midterms."

When all else fails, dig out the hackneyed democratic script.

As if we needed any further proof that the Left's sole agenda these last 6 years has been to drag down a sitting U.S. President.

Still, I'm content to reserve judgement until I read Mr. Kennedys report.

Expect this to get a lot of play in the MSM.

Of course it will, EL!

Hey! Would that be "Kennedy's", "Kennedys", or Kennedies"?

I wonder if Rob Jr. and his cousin burn the midnight...er...that is....3 A.M. fire together?

Perhaps there wouldn't be such troubles for the pres if there wasn't so much smoke surrounding his administration.
Hearings on Ohio Voting Put 2004 Election in Doubt

Well, then, while we are looking into things like this, why don't we investigate how many people from New York voted there and in Florida (in BOTH Elections), and call for recounts in each and every close state, and prosecute all instances of voter fraud and double voting to the fullest extent of the Law.

I want my side to win, but I want to win fair and square.

The only reason that any of this is an issue at all is that Bush won.

Nobody cares that you cheated if you lose...

Perhaps, perhaps not... many of us on the Right see all this as little more than a Tit-for-Tat campaign being waged upon this president by a Left suffering from bruised egos.

"Just because we're paranoid, doesn't mean they aren't out to get us!"

...Truer words, and all that.

Well said, Tug. I too would rather win fairly... or not at all.

Uhm. When the Secretary of the State, the person who oversees and certifies the election, is also a co-chair for the committee to re-elect George Bush. To put it politely the situation smells. When the CEO of a company manufacturing electronic voting machines says that he will do everything possible to put Ohio in the Bush column, it stinks. Pardon me for being ambivalent about the justice of the election in Ohio.

This isn't about "getting" Bush. That idea is childish and silly. It's about the idea that a party or campaign might be able to game an election in an immoral manner. It's about seeing if there need to be rules limiting the involvement of state officials in national campaigns. It's about examining the apparatus of our electoral system to see if every vote is cast and counted fairly and accurately.

I certianly don't want this to lead to an escalation of dirty campaign tricks for presidential elections.

Whatever, Ben. Look at the track-record of the Dems! This IS about Dubya--regardless of the piousness the left attempts to potray.

The left doesn't want justice--it wants power! Simple as that--as with their philosophy--our desired ends justify any and all means.

As with the Cap'n, I call for full disclisure from both sides in ALL elections of the past!

On the original topic of this post:

The RFK Jr. article has now been debunked in Salon, Mother Jones, and on NPR. As far as I can tell it has been ignored by WAPO and NYT.

So much for the charges getting traction in the MSM. I was going to make a prediction that they would get less play than the Reid scandal, wish I had.

Glad you're feeling better.

Oh- and a democratic pollster is savaging portions of RFK's article.

I honestly expected more. It's not that I'm disappointed, I just thought this was like a fumble on the offenses 5 yard line and the media would run it in for 6.

If anything, I'm surprised.

And thanks for the link, I'll check it out.
