How long does it take for rigor mortis to set in?

Some questions are being raised about Qana; questions the MSM seem to have no interest in answering-- Were the deaths of children at Qana staged by Hezbollah?

As to rigor mortis...

The onset of rigor mortis may range from 10 minutes to several hours, depending on factors including temperature (rapid cooling of a body can inhibit rigor mortis, but it occurs upon thawing). Maximum stiffness is reached around 12-24 hours post mortem. Facial muscles are affected first, with the rigor then spreading to other parts of the body. The joints are stiff for 1-3 days, but after this time general tissue decay and leaking of lysosomal intracellular digestive enzymes will cause the muscles to relax. It is interesting to note that meat is generally considered to be more tender if it is eaten after rigor mortis has passed.

I remember watching video of the bodies of children being carried out of the ruins, and I DO remember seeing arms and limbs bobbing in FIXED positions. It didn't occur to me at that time to think there might be a problem with this, and based on the info above, I'm not so sure there IS a problem with this, except for the 'Maximum Stiffness' bit I emboldened above. [yes, the double entendre was intentional]

The Strata-Sphere asks some valid questions, namely...

"...as bodies are pulled from the ‘rubble’ pictures show rescuers and victims amazingly free of dust and debris and blood. Did people die at the site? I am sure some did. But is Hezbollah pulling a fast one on a gullible world quick to jump to conclusions?"

The questions surrounding the 'possible' staging of Qana, some say, are irrelevant since Olmert has already issued apologies, but that alone could be seen as a leader wishing to mitigate as much damage as possible before knowing the whole story.

Still. If Hezbollah is not above hiding and operating amongst civilians, are they above staging bodies to create negative propaganda for Israel?

The answer to that is no. But that doesn't mean they DID stage the scene.

It also doesn't mean Hezbollah is above murdering women and children to stage the whole thing.

I wonder if we'll ever know for sure. Or if this will break down as thoroughly as the "Jenin Massacre" finally did.

Only time and honesty in reporting will tell. And I'm not certain how much honesty there actually is in reporting today.

Laura Lee at "The Wide Awake Cafe" posted "Israeli 'spies' executed", which begins, "Shades of Pre-Hitler Germany? Unbelievable but not really………

Larnaca/Beirut - Several suspected spies were shot dead in the southern Lebanese port of Tyre, witness said on Thursday.

Passengers on board an evacuation ship told medical doctor Boris Buck from the German city of Munich that they had seen members of the Lebanese Shi’ite Hezbollah group or their sympathisers killing 18 Lebanese people during the night."

I somehow doubt the NYTimes or any other 'mainstream' news organ in the US or the Western world will report this. I have seen little 'honest reporting' in recent years. Damned little!

"Damned Little!" Indeed.

We are in agreement. So what do we do about it? We're only two voices here. I've got just under ten-thousand page views... who will hear anything I say?

Please note, I do not say as much as an excuse to do nothing. But really! Who will listen?

By the way, I'm adding you to my list of links.
