I find it interesting that this issue of banning cartoons is growing in strength around the world. In centuries past there have been others who lost their lives or were imprisoned for publishing cartoons, but I never thought to see it today. Until the Unreasonable Religion of Islam began killing people, burning buildings, and demanding death to all who would insult their prophet. Ridiculous. And hypocritical.

The fear is becoming so widespread that even Russia has climbed upon the Fear Train,

RUSSIA SHUTS DOWN NEWSPAPER WITH CARTOON DEPICTING MOHAMMED

The municipal government in Volgograd has decided to close down a local newspaper for printing a cartoon showing Jesus, Buddha, Mohammed, and Moses watching a crowd of clashing people while saying, “We never taught them to do that…” The mayor of the city is quoted as saying that the paper was shut down in order to prevent inter-religious strife; meanwhile, the prosecutor-general is looking to file charges...


We're living in a world full of troubles, and if I might posit a bit of analysis-- The closer our societies and differences become, and the smaller this world becomes as a result, violence and misunderstandings will increase. You can't put a hundred people in a room with an occupancy rating of 30, adding one more every hour, without a meltdown. I think we are seeing the beginnings of just such a meltdown. And we have technology to thank.

And no, I don't intend to expound upon that last sentence. You're all very bright people.
